EASILY SATISFYING, ANYTHING BUT EASY — Sling cards from your deck across two tactically distinct rows — melee and ranged. Gather more points in the duel against your opponent to win a round. Win two out of three rounds to win the battle. It won’t be easy, but no one said it should be.

NO HOLDING BACK, NO HOLDING HANDS — You start with 10 cards from your deck in hand, able to play each card right from the start. It’s up to you to open the game with your strongest unit, or save the best for later in the fight. How will your deck look and what will your strategy be?

Not at all like the Gwent card game on Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This game, although the same character design, is much more complex and in my opinion over complicated. From what I found while playing the game, you already have all the cards. So there is no collecting cards, like in the game. Unfortunately they've just made it way too complicated. The design and animations are amazing! Unfortunately though making it very complicated has ruined the experience for myself. Wouldn't recommend.

It's not the same Gwent as in Witcher 3, which is what I was hoping for. This game plays a lot more like common TCGs, where you have animated allies that cast spells, there's an overwhelming ton of different synergies and new cards (that were never a part of W3's Gwent), the cards are mostly general fantasy characters (whereas in W3, they were themed to the countries and factions), and stuff like that. The simplicity and focus of W3's Gwent is completely gone.

Gwent is finally a mobile game that is OK, no pay to win garbage, no advertisements that pop up every 5 seconds, but the controls are ... special! I had so many problems, sometimes the game only responded to my action after 2 to 3 seconds, sometimes the controls were too clumsy and often it seemed to me that it was frozen. On the other hand, the graphic is finally viewable, I can watch the game without dying from eye cancer, and the music is the same as in "the Witcher 3" which is good news.

What’s new

The brand new Update 11.10 brings changes tocards and implements the Balance Council, an in-game voting system.

This means that moving onwards, you will have the control over all the changes made to the cards of GWENT.
